I Am My Own Person : A Rallying Cry for the Initiation of Baby Feminists

Ginikanwanyi’s first school outreach happened on July 8th 2025, at a secondary school in Onitsha. It was an affirming, uplifting experience. We introduced feminist ideals to 300+ girls and spoke to them about Igbo women’s history, self-advocacy, gender politics, education, media literacy and economic independence as a tool for freedom. Our founder, Olive, documented the experience in writing.
